A while ago, I was starting to get "weird" about the whole "death" thing and I guess it's the "over 40" part of my life now. I think the biggest hangup I have is leaving everyone behind....will anyone miss me??? At one point, this REALLY bothered me...it's becoming more bearable now though.
GOD's KNOCKING - DO YOU HEAR ME??? It was funny, at the time I was obsessing over this feeling, I was at a book store buying the new Harry Potter book for my eldest son for his birthday. They kept the book behind the counter, so I had to wait in the checkout line before I could get it. While standing in line, there was a display of a book... "90 Minutes in Heaven: A True Story of Death & Life" by Don Piper. I picked up the book, perused the back cover and put it back. Although I am quite religious, I didn't think that I could actually gain anything by reading it. I went home and told my husband about it and he said I should have gotten it because he had heard it was a good book. So the next day, I went and picked it up. Let me tell you, after reading the first 3 chapters, this book really started to put to ease my feelings. I would recommend it to anyone at any time in their life.
THE MORAL OF THIS LONG BLOG....I am a believer that GOD sends subtle messages to all of us, but if we don't listen, they will fly right over our heads. When we listen, it is quite rewarding!
